Louis Armstrong 50th Memorial Plaque Unveiling A Night to Remember!

The memorial plaque at the Founders Theatre in Hamilton marking the 50th anniversary of the March 20, 1963 sell-out performance there by legendary American jazz artist Louis Armstrong was unveiled exactly half a century later. And it was a great night of memories and all that jazz.

Official guest US Consul General Jim Donegan added to the occasion with his own tales of the legendary performer. Plus an invitation to visit Amstrong’s former home  now a museum in New York, home town to both of them.
